I am a master's level Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH60131178), a child mental health specialist, and a mental health professional. I have been working in the social services field since 2002, and have worked with several local social services agencies. After moving to the Eastside, I started my private practice in 2010 settling in Redmond. I have strong clinical experience working with mental health needs, behavioral, gender, and sexuality needs. I have built my practice around working with clients to develop an approach to therapy that best suits their needs and capitalizes on their strengths. I believe in developing a therapuetic relationship with my clients that encourages exploration, insight, and growth to provide them the skills and confidence to improve the quality of their lives. I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds with a variety of presenting goals in therapy, but have come to specialize in working with pre-adolescent and adolescent males and their families to address behavioral and emotional issues. Families are often challenged during the period of adolescence, and I can provide a neutral space to explore the relationship and implement the change that is desired. I have a passion for helping the queer population and seek to provide a safe and supportive space to explore the expression of their gender and sexual identity. I live on the Eastside with my husband, son, daughter, and dogs. My husband and I also run a local non-profit martial arts dojo - Eastside Kyokushin Karate & Self-Defense. |
